Electrical Code
The Electrical Code adopted by the Board of Supervisors is the PA.UCC. The UCC adopted the 2008 NFPA Pamphlet 70. The Electrical Code adopted for one and two family detached and attached dwellings and their accessory structure is the 2009 International Residential Code, first edition. Chapter 33 through Chapter 42 inclusive. The ordinance adopting these regulations may be found in Chapter 71 of the Code of the Township of Whitpain.
Electrical Permit Applications including instructions for submission of these applications may be downloaded from the Forms and Permits section. Electrical Permit Fees will not be accepted at the time of application. Fees are only accepted at the issuance of the permit.
The average time limit for permit processing is the same as that noted for building permits.
