The Second Alarmers Rescue Squad and Association of Montgomery County, Inc. provides emergency medical services in Whitpain. The Second Alarmers have a temporary station set up on the grounds of the Township Building located at 960 Wentz Road.
The Second Alarmers was chartered in 1938 and started as a canteen service for fire and police personnel. Since then, they have grown to be one of the largest providers of emergency medical services in Montgomery County.
The Second Alarmers do not receive tax dollars from Whitpain Township. The association is permitted to complete a subscription drive each year to allow residents to become members of the ambulance squad. The township asks all of our residents and business to support the Second Alarmers when you receive your annual subscription request.
