The Police Department, under the leadership of Chief Mark A. Smith, is committed to providing protection and services within the Township on a 24-hour-a-day basis with a strong emphasis on community awareness. The quality of police service is often judged by the response of the police. It is more dependent on the police working with the community in a method that provdes effective and effecient policing.

The Whitpain Township Police Department strives to provide superior police service in a professional, courteous and respectful manner, thereby maintaining a safe and desirable environment. The Officers of the Whitpain Township Police Department will partner with the community to foster public trust, security, peace and order, to maintain the quality of life valued by those who reside in, work in and visit Whitpain Township.

The Department will strive to be proactive and innovative in order to foster a harmonious community while remaining committed to excellence.
