Township Manager

Whitpain Township functions under generally accepted principles of the Council-Manager form of government. The Township Manager is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serves as the chief administrative officer of the township. Roman Pronczak was appointed to this position on January 3, 2011. Mr. Pronczak joined Whitpain Township in 1996 and has more than 28 years of municipal government experience. He has a Master’s of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

The Township Manager is responsible for carrying out all policies and programs established by the Board of Supervisors and for directing and supervising the administration of all departments and functions. The manager also prepares the preliminary budget and submits it to the Board of Supervisors for consideration.
