Solar Lighting Progressing 

The Township is moving forward with plans to transition to solar lighting at the Township Building campus and in the parking lots at Wentz Run Park. 

As part of phase one of the project, the Public Works sewer division has installed 26 foundations and several poles and lighting fixtures in the parking lots around the Township Building. 

Later this year, work will begin on phase two, which will provide solar lighting in the parking lots and drives of Wentz Run Park and allow the removal of the existing electric fixtures and poles through the entire campus at Wentz Road.

The Township has received a $131,669 grant from the PA Department of Community & Economic Development as part of the Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program to help pay for this solar project.
