The Township is divided into two zones for leaf and yard waste collection. Residents living south of Skippack Pike will have their leaf and yard waste collected on Tuesdays and those living north of Skippack Pike will have their collection on Wednesdays. Residents who live on Skippack Pike will have the same schedule noted above. If you live on the south side of Skippack Pike collection will occur on Tuesdays and if you live on the north side collection will occur on Wednesdays.

The collection dates for 2020 are:

February – Tuesday, February 25^th & Wednesday, February 26^th

March - Tuesday, March 24^th & Wednesday, March 25^th

April – Tuesday, April 14^th & Wednesday, April 15^th

May – Tuesday May 26^th & Wednesday, May 27^th

June – Tuesday, June 23^rd & Wednesday, June 24^th

July – Tuesday, July 28^th & Wednesday, July 29^th

August – Tuesday, August 25^th & Wednesday, August 26^th

September – Tuesday, September 22^nd & Wednesday, September 23^rd

October – Tuesday, October 13^th & Wednesday, October 14^th

Tuesday, October 27^th & Wednesday, October 28th

November – Tuesday, November 10^th & Thursday, November 12^th

Tuesday, November 24^th & Wednesday, November 25^th

December – Tuesday, December 8^th & Wednesday, December 9^th

Tuesday, December 22^nd & Wednesday, December 23^rd

If your pickup is missed, you must call the Township the day of collection at 610-277-2400. This program is not available to private communities.

Biodegradable Bags

Leaves must be placed in biodegradable paper bags and put out at the curb the evening before the scheduled collection date to ensure they will be picked up. Bags should not weigh more than 40 pounds and should not contain trash or other waste. Bags can be purchased at the Township Building for 5/$2 from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Do not place bagged leaf and branch trimmings in plastic bags. The will not be collected. 

All leaves and branch trimmings are recycled, not landfilled.

What is Leaf Waste?

Leaf waste includes leaves, shrubbery and minor tree trimmings in biodegradable paper bags or containers, bundled shrubs or plants, excluding dirt, under four (4') feet in length and tied tree branches under three (3") inches in diameter and under four (4") feet in length. Grass clippings are excluded.
