From The EAC: Eco-Friendly Holidays: Tips For Less Trash

How can we reduce the stream of garbage this holiday season? Consider services, tickets, gift cards, dining experiences, crafts, and second-hand treasures as your go-to gifts.  

Rethink gift wrapping. Swap single-use paper for fabric like bandannas, dishtowels, scarves. Save and reuse ribbons and gift tags instead of throwing them away. Get creative with paper and boxes – reuse, repurpose, and make every wrap count. 

And when it comes to holiday gatherings, ditch the disposable serving ware. Opt for your own dishes, flatware and glassware. It's these small, intentional choices that collectively make a difference.
