[ARCHIVED] Battery & Media & Watch Recycling Event

Battery Recycle

Whitpain EAC Battery/Media Recycling

The Environment Advisory Council (EAC) of Whitpain Township is collecting used batteries for recycling. The

scheduled events are located outside the Whitpain Township Building, usually at the sidewalk near the Police/Tax

office entrances.

In 2024 we added additional items into battery collection events– various Media/DVD/CD/Film materials. Please see

below details on items that will be collected.

Collection dates for 2025 are March 8th, June 7th and October 11th.

Collection time: 9am to 11am

Collection is only open to Whitpain Township residents, and proof of residency is required. Residents are required

to properly tape certain batteries before dropping them off (see below) and are asked to do so before arriving to

speed up the drop-off process.

Huge volumes of batteries cannot be handled by this program as it is designed for small volumes of batteries used

by Whitpain Township residents. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CAR BATTERIES OR ANY INDUSTRIAL BATTERIES

Dropoff Schedule:

Batteries will be collected only on scheduled dates and times, as advertised on the Whitpain Township EAC

webpage (https://www.whitpaintownship.org/450/Environmental-Advisory-Council) and the Whitpain Wire

email newsletter (sign up here - https://www.whitpaintownship.org/420/The-Wire)

These are the most common types of batteries powering devices you use every day. Some are rechargeable, you can
