With warmer spring temperatures here, the Township’s street sweeper is once again making its rounds through Whitpain.
In addition to keeping roadways looking clean, the street sweeper performs an important environmental function as it removes debris and sediment from roads that would otherwise be washed into storm sewers and ultimately streams.
If you encounter the street sweeper when driving, please use caution in the area.
As a reminder, please do not rake leaves to the edge of the roadway as the street sweeper cannot pick up piles of leaves. Instead, please be sure to place leaves in biodegradable paper bags.
April leaf collection dates are April 10 and April 24 for properties south of Skippack Pike and April 12 and April 26 for properties north of Skippack Pike.
